Overview
Cantine Drive-In celebrated 75 years in business in 2026, and to mark that success and longevity, they asked me to build them a whole new graphic language: from logo to menu, imagery, and even the exterior of the restaurant itself.
Objective
In 1955, in the northern seaside town of Carleton-sur-Mer, the Cantine Drive-In was the only place, besides the old rustic church, that brought people together. There, cowboys sang and cheered alongside fishermen's families, sharing freshly caught lobster rolls, greasy poutines, steamed hot dogs, and velvety-smooth milkshakes. That's where Saturday nights were spent and lived, for more than half a century.
In honour of that heritage and reuniting force, I brought back the good ol' days through a vintage, cartoon-like mascot logo and a colourful vintage palette, paired with a hand-drawn menu featuring fun, colourful characters.
RESULT
The restaurant has sold out of poutine and ice cream more than once. Customers can't get enough of the vibe, and they always come back for more.
