Overview

Maison Chaleur B Chocolat, a multiple-time award-winning chocolatier, brought me on as head creative for their 2025 Advent Calendar. For this edition, I moved the concept beyond simply eating chocolates and counting down to Christmas. Instead, each day becomes a real moment of bliss meant to be shared in good company.

Objective

The body of the calendar takes a minimalist approach to chocolate tasting: a white-out sleeve marked only by the brand name, an embossed snowshoe trail, and the whisper of a poem printed across it.

Inside, winter itself comes to the table. I wrote 24 poems and prose pieces celebrating our northern landscape and culture, and designed an envelope holding an invitation card, a thank-you letter, and a message from the president. To make the experience even more immersive, I also created a 24-episode podcast featuring chocolatier Frederik Bélair and CEO Dany Marquis, who guide you through the entire journey.

RESULT

As an ephemeral product, its limited-edition run only made it more desirable. Chaleur B's Advent Calendar made real noise on social media, with people across Canada discovering the little details hidden throughout the package and savouring the delicate chocolate confectionery of visionary chocolatier Frederik Bélair.
